Fudge # 2


At the end of a long week, tuck into an enjoyable Fudge 2.
This is probably the best Fudge 2, you'll ever have!

Recipe Ingredients

  • 2.00 c Sugar
  • 0.50 ts Salt
  • 1.00 c Milk
  • 2.00 Squares unsweetened choc.
  • 2.00 tb Butter
  • 1.00 ts Vanilla
  • 0.50 c Chopped walnuts (Opt.)
  • 0.12 c Chopped candied cherries

Recipe Directions

  • Butter a shallow dish and set aside.

  • Combine sugar, salt and milk in a large saucepan.

  • Add chocolate and cook over low heat until chocolate is melted.

  • Stirring occasionally, increase heat and bring to full rolling boil.

  • Continue cooking until it reaches soft ball, 234 degrees F on your candy thermometer.

  • Remove from heat and add butter.

  • Let cool to about 130 degrees.

  • Add vanilla and beat until fudge begins to thicken.

  • RAPIDLY fold in walnuts and cherries (if desired), and INSTANTLY turn the mixture into buttered dish.

  • It's ready to eat almost immediately.

  • Cut into squares and serve.
